Job Role

Due to growth in the our sector we are recruiting carers, this rewarding role demands that candidates that are caring and compassionate with the ability to deliver complete care and general support to enable our elderly clients to live independently in their own home rather to enter residential care.


This support will include personal care, domestics duties, administering medication, taking clients out. engaging with them so they feel valued, meal preparation, general support with daily living and companionship.


You will need to be able to communicate with people on all levels, have a flexible work ethic and have the desire to make a difference to people's lives.


You will need to have your own transport and a full valid driving licence


Salary: £7.20 up to 11.00 per hour


Job Location: Colchester and sSurrounding areas

We are looking for Care staff in Colchester and the surrounding areas to join us AllCare Plus Ltd is progressive organisation that offer great benefits to all staff we use an electronic rota system via a mobile app which also acts as your timesheet so you know exactly what jobs you have and have done at any given point cutting down the need for timesheets and unneccesary papaerwork, giving you more time to care for the client. AllCare plus have a good rating by the CQC so you know that the proceedures that you work to have been inspected and deemed best practice 

The Community Carer role will combine both personal and domestic care duties with the objective of helping our clients to take care of themselves at home, and wherever possible, to restore them to full independence.


  • To assist with washing/showering, dressing, getting up and going to bed
  • To assist with toilet functions – using the WC or commode, emptying and cleansing the commode
  • To renew and/or empty catheter bags using clean, careful techniques and hygiene control procedures
  • To assist the Service User with prescribed dossetted medication only, with the exception of injections and controlled drugs
  • To undertake health care tasks under the direction of a health care professional
  • To assist the Service User with menu planning, preparing a meal, if required and/or assisting with feeding and diet monitoring
  • To assist with supporting clients to attend medical appointments, walking, exercising
  • To assist with shopping and pension collection
  • To assist in letter reading and writing, assist with aids such as talking books
  • To provide companionship and conversation


Key Skills & Experience


  • You will have a desire to working in a care industry a good geographical knowledge of the Colchester area.
  • We are looking for a focussed individual with a passion for care.
  • You must be able to work in a flexible manner and adapt to rapidly changing situations and environments.

This role required minimal supervision and the right candidate should demonstrate self-reliance and foresight and be able to organise and manage own workload, paperwork and time.
